Marks/Brands was created in a will to denounce the trends of our contemporary world to colonize and homogenize nature as much as women’s bodies.

By making farmer’s seeds grow into representations of (supposedly) perfect women bodies and faces extracted from the press, I tend to give them back their marks, flaws, wrinkles and, above all, their unpredictability. This work stands against the “colonisation of life” (as ecofeminist Vandana Shiva calls it), and in favor of diversity and volatility of the living world and beings.

This work is currently being part of the group show Les Mauvaises Herbes Résisteront, and will evolve randomly during the 3-months period of the exhibition.
